Additions & Substitutions
In place of sugar use maple syrup or honey
For diary free & vegan options substitute regular milk with soy milk, coconut milk, almond milk
To try different milk – use raspberry instead of strawberry. You’ll get delicious raspberry milk.
Strawberry – use fresh or frozen to make fresh strawberry syrup. Make sure to clean strawberries well before use. Hull the berries and chop.
Sugar – I used white granular sugar. You can use other sweeteners too – maple syrup or honey or stevia.
Milk – use full fat milk for best tasting drink. In the recipe I used regular milk. For diary free (& vegan) options – use soy milk, almond milk, coconut milk
Optional ingredients – a drop or two of red food color can be added to milk to give it bright color. I skipped food color.
A teaspoon of pure vanilla extract can be added to the entire 6 cups of strawberry milk to enhance it’s flavors. Skipped that too.
Feel free to add these optional ingredients if you like or leave it out completely as I did.

Whipped Strawberry Milk Recipe (Dalgona Strawberry)
Take chilled whipping cream in a chilled bowl and beat it.

NOTE: do not overbeat whipping cream, it will split.
Keep whipped strawberry cream refrigerated until use.

How To Use Leftover Strawberry Sauce?
If you are sceptical of making strawberry sauce just for one dish, don’t worry, there are many ways to use strawberry sauce.
The recipe makes just enough strawberry sauce for 3 cups of strawberry milk. Depending on how much YOU used, there are chances that you may have leftovers.
Store left over strawberry syrup in fridge for 3-4 days.
You can use it the sauce on –
- Stir it with Greek yogurt and snack on it
- Drizzle over granola
- Stir it with porridge
- Drizzle over strawberry ice
- Drizzle over cherry pies or strawberry pie
There are endless ways to use it.
Tips For Best Strawberry Milk Recipe
- I used about 4 tablespoon of strawberry sauce for 1 large glass of milk. Depending on how sweet you like your drink, adjust the amount of strawberry sauce to add.
- For Dalgona strawberry milk, the whipped strawberry cream resulted in mild pink color. If you like to have a brighter color on whipped cream consider adding a drop or two of red food color (gel color) to it.
- If you have leftover strawberry syrup, store refrigerated for 3 to 4 days. Make sure to use it in 3 to 4 days.
- You can use any milk. For best taste, use full cream milk(whole milk) of your choice. It’ll result in thick, creamy, rich strawberry milk.
- Strawberry milk tastes best when served chilled!
