Hot fudge sauce recipe

  1. You can’t miss this 5 minutes hot fudge sauce recipe. It’s rich, gooey, and decadent almost like melted fudge.
  2. Every time I make it I start eating this silky smooth thick fudge sauce straight off the jar. IT’S SO GOOD!
  3. Why buy it from the store when you can make the best fudge sauce at home with just 5 basic ingredients in 5 minutes?
  4. No need for corn syrup or heavy cream. You are guaranteed the most amazingly rich, thick texture.

Ingredients

ingredients for hot fudge sauce

Chocolate chips – Use best quality chocolate to make the sauce. For bitter sweet taste use dark chocolate chips. You can also use semi-sweet or bitter-sweet chocolate chips.

If you don’t have chocolate chips, feel free to use cooking chocolate bark. Chop into smaller pieces before using.

Some recipes use a mix of cocoa powder and chocolate chips, while some use only cocoa powder.

Butter – I used unsalted butter. If using salted butter, skip the salt.

Evaporated milk – evaporated milk makes this hot fudge sauce luscious, rich, and thick. Some recipes use heavy cream or condensed milk instead. If you are using sweetened condensed milk you must skip adding sugar to the sauce. Whole milk can be used too, but I don’t prefer it as it might compensate for the thickness and texture of the fudge sauce.

Sugar – I prefer to use confectioners’ sugar. White granular sugar can also be used.

Vanilla extract – use pure vanilla extract for the best flavors.

Salt – skip this if using salted butter.

This recipe does not use cocoa powder, if you do want to use you can use ⅓ cup of cocoa powder, and you will get bittersweet tasting sauce.

My food philosophy is simple, fresh and full of flavors! I love ‘spicy’ food. In fact so much so that I can skip dessert for extra spicy savory food!
