Here’s what you’ll need-
- 1.5 cup frozen dark red pitted cherries
- 1 banana
- ¾ cup vanilla Greek yogurt (flavoured yogurt)
- 1 cup pomegranate juice (or apple juice), chilled
Ingredients additions & substitutions
Dark red cherries are slightly tart and sweet making it best for making smoothie. If you can’t find dar red cherries, use whatever cherries are available. The color of smoothie will be red or pink depending on the cherry used.
Vanilla Greek yogurt can be substituted with plain Greek yogurt and ½ teaspoon vanilla extract and 1 to 2 teaspoon honey (depending on preferred sweetness).
Use any of the below mentioned fruit juices for liquid component.
- Pomegranate juice

- White grape juice

As smoothie rests it starts separating and float to the top leaving down the juice sink down the glass. Also storing smoothie for a day or two in the fridge will tend to change the color of smoothie. Bright pink or red color will turn pale and loose it freshness.
