Step-by-Step Pictorial
Step 1– Dump fruits into instant pot. Don’t bother to remove seeds or skin, simply chop fruits roughly and dump.
Step 2 – Add in the whole spices. You can tie all spices in a small muslin cloth and dump it in so removing spices is a breeze.
Step 3– Pour enough water to cover all the fruits. Add sweetener, I added ¼ cup brown sugar. Maples syrup would be BEST. Or use Stevia, coconut sugar or even honey.
Step 4- Cover and cook on HIGH PRESSURE for 15 minutes.
Step 5 – Let instant pot naturally release pressure for 15 minutes. Then manually release all pressure.
Step 6 – Once pressure completely settles, open lid. Remove all spices out.
Step 7- Using potato masher mash all the fruits in the liquid to release all juices and wonderful oil into it.
Step 8 – Use a fine mesh strainer or a muslin cloth to strain all the juices out.
Step 9 – Repeat until you have strained all the juices out.
Step 10 – Serve warm as it is in glasses or garnish with any garnish options of your choice.
Add cinnamon stick, star anise and fresh cranberries for garnish. You could add fresh chopped apples, orange slices.
