Ingredients you’ll need
Here’s what you’ll need-
- ½ cup extra-virgin olive oil, use premium quality olive oil
- ¼ cup red wine vinegar
- 3 tablespoon lemon juice, squeezed fresh
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- Salt and crushed pepper to taste
Ingredients notes-
Olive oil – is the base of Greek salad dressing recipe. Make sure to use good quality brand virgin or extra-virgin olive oil in the recipe.
Red wine vinegar – adds deeper flavor to the dressing. Highly recommend red wine vinegar over white wine vinegar as it adds a distinct special flavor to the dressing.
Lemon juice – highly recommend you use fresh squeezed lemon juice only. Bottled stuff are more zingy and will make the salad dressing too tang and will lack the fresh flavors.
Honey – balances the tang in the dressing with a layer of sweetness to it.
Dijon mustard – use smooth Dijon mustard for creamier dressing. Use yellow mustard if that’s what you have. Mustard is must in salad dressing for me as it thickens the dressing a bit more which helps coats the salad a little better.
Garlic – highly recommend fresh garlic over garlic powder. If you want to store for longer substitute fresh garlic with garlic powder.
Seasoning oregano, salt & pepper – always season the dressing well. Taste and add seasoning as per taste.
