Cool refreshing blueberry lemonade is what you need to beat the summer heat. This refreshing berrlicious lemonade is a wonderful twist to classic lemonade.
1cupsugaradjust the amount as per taste or use another healthy alternative like stevia.

Instructions
Any lemonade recipe begins with simple syrup. Simple syrup is equal mixture of sugar and water heated up until sugar dissolves creating a syrup.
For this drink, you’ll make blueberry simple syrup. In a sauce pan heat equal ratio of water and sugar. Add in fresh blueberries. Cook for 3-4 minutes. Keep mashing the berries as it cooks.
You’ll end up with syrup-y mix. Strain the syrup, squeezing out all the juices from the berries. Viola pretty pink blueberry simple syrup is ready.
Pop it into fridge until it’s chilled.
Into a pitcher add chilled blueberry simple syrup. Pour in freshly squeezed lemon juice. Throw in loads of ice.
Stir it up.
Pour into serving glasses filled with ice cubes, few fresh blueberries and lemon slices.
Serve immediately. Enjoy the drink sitting by the pool side!

Chill blueberry simple syrup for a couple of hours or overnight before serving.
Although puree of raw blueberries can be used to make lemonade, I highly recommend cooking blueberries briefly, it extracts the flavor and color from it.
For added flavors, muddle fresh mint or fresh basil leaves and add them to the drink.
For adult-style lemonade, spike it up with some vodka or tequila.
