  • 16 mini pretzels twists
  • 16 pretzel rods
  • 2 packs white candy melts (or use high quality white chocolate (that is specific for melting))
  • ½ teaspoon coconut oil add ½ teaspoon more if needed, if chocolate melt is harden
  • Eye candies – small and medium sized

  • To start with, line up baking tray with parchment paper (use silicon baking mat if you prefer that).
  • Melt white chocolate melt with ½ teaspoon coconut oil in microwave according to packet instructions. I always use 50% power and melt chocolate in microwave for 30 second intervals. Then remove the bowl from microwave stir well. If not fully melted place the bowl back into microwave and continue to melt for 20 seconds more. Remove bowl from microwave and stir well. Once you see very few candies left out, keep stirring. DO NOT put it back into microwave. The heat in the bowl will help melt all chocolate.
  • PRO-TIP : Often chocolate looks like it’s not melted and it’s common mistake to put it back into microwave it heat it more. This might push the chocolate but far and it will harden and burn at the bottom. Make sure to keep stirring every 20 to 30 seconds. If melting very little quantity of chocolate, do not melt it for 30 second intervals. Start with 10 seconds and keep stirring. Keep in mind every microwave and their setting is different. You might want to adjust yours accordingly.
  • To make ghost Halloween pretzels treats: Using a fork, coat mini pretzels in melted white chocolate. Shake excess chocolate from the pretzel coating. Place chocolate covered pretzels on baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Repeat this step for the entire bag of mini pretzels.
  • NOTE : While working on pretzel coating, if chocolate melt harden, place the bowl back into microwave for 10 to 20 seconds to heat it lightly. Stir. Chocolate should have loosened a bit. If not place it back into microwave for 10 seconds more.
  • Let the dipped pretzels set. Then drizzle chocolate over set pretzels (this step for ghost pretzels are optional).
  • Immediately press eye candies over the pretzels. Let is set completely.
  • To make mummy Halloween pretzels rods: Pour melted chocolate into tall glass. Choose the size of glass depending on the length of your pretzel rods and how much pretzels should be dipped in chocolate. Dip pretzel rod in chocolate melts one at a time. Place it on baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Let the chocolate set on pretzels. Drizzle chocolate over the set pretzels. Place one medium sized eye candy or two mini eye candies.
  • Allow it to set completely.
  • Once chocolate coated pretzels are completely set, you can wrap it in mini pretzel bags and tie it up with ribbons. Great idea for individual gifting.

  • Do not over heat or over melt chocolate. It will harden and burn at the bottom.
  • Candy melts are best choice over choco chips. It's easy to work with candy melts and you can store for chocolate covered pretzels for about a week with candy melts.
  • Use very little coconut or shortening to help melt candies.
  • Use fresh pretzels if you want to make ahead and store.
