If removing the crust, trim off the crusty edges.
Slice bread into ¾ inch size cubes.
Transfer the sliced bread cubes into a wide bowl.
Add rest of the ingredients – olive oil, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt and pepper to taste.
Gently toss it to coat each bread cubes with the seasoning.
Grease the baking tray with oil. Spread bread cubes on the tray and arrange in single layer.
Bake in pre-heated oven at 350 degree Farenheit for about 8 to 12 minutes or until it turns golden brown, flipping it occasionally.
Remove from oven, transfer to wired rack or another tray to cool down completely.
Once cooled, store in air tight container at room temperature for two weeks. You can freeze it for longer storage.

Notes
Use sturdy/hearty bread like sour dough bread or French loaf. It's best. If you don't have sour dough bread or French loaf, use ciabatta, French rolls, or challah bread.
Slice bread into equal sizes for evening browning.
You can use melted butter in place of olive oil for richer taste.
Use garlic granules if available. You'll love it's texture.
Flip croutons occasionally while roasting in oven for even browning all the sides.
Allow croutons to cool completely before transferring to air tight containers.
Leftovers can be stored in air tight containers for 2 weeks.
