          Recipe FAQs

          Can I use frozen strawberries?

It’s best to use fresh berries for sweet strawberry tea recipes. Fresh berries add intense strawberry flavors to the drink, while frozen strawberries lack the flavors and won’t taste the same.
Highly recommend you use fresh very ripe red strawberries for the best flavors.
Frozen strawberries can also be used as ice cubes.

Why does iced strawberry tea lack strawberry flavors?

For the best and most intense strawberry flavors in the tea use fresh very ripe red strawberries. Also, taste first and then add tea. The amount of tea you make in the recipe is quite a lot. You might have to adjust how much tea you add so it does not overpower the taste of strawberries.

Can I use other fruits to make southern sweet tea?

Substitute strawberries with other berries like raspberries, and blueberries.
You can use fruits like mango, peach, or lemon to make southern sweet tea.

Can I use green tea instead of black tea?

          Yes, you can!

I’m a coffee drinker! Can I use coffee in this drink instead of tea?

The famous Starbucks strawberry acai refresher uses acai powder and green coffee beans to make the drink.  That answers the question. Yes, you can use coffee but not regular coffee. Use green coffee beans and acai powder to make the most popular caffeinated drink.

Can I go ahead and store strawberry sweet tea?

Yes. Sweet strawberry tea can be stored refrigerated for 3 to 5 days. Make ahead a big pitcher of the tea.
