Chocolate and Vanilla Panna Cotta is double treat. When you can’t decide if you want vanilla panna cotta or chocolate panna cotta, make both.
Hey guys! It’s been a while since we met! I did not intend to take a break, and then there were a few things happening on personal front that kept me away from the blogging world. Infact I was away from everything, cooking, clicking and blogging.
End of December I fell ill and I could not do any work. I was not even cooking. There was one silver lining among all the ‘not so good things that were happening in my life’. Both my kids were at my mom’s place enjoying their Christmas holidays when I fell sick.
I did not have to worry about feeding them, taking care of them! I could concentrate on my health and get back on feet soon. Hubby worked from home and helped me around with a lot of things. He bought food, he helped me with small house hold work and lot more.
I started feeling better right in time, just around New Years Eve 🙂 . I was so happy to be off bed. Spent the New Years Eve with family and friends. I spent some quality time with family for few days. We also decided to catch up with a lot of friends during the New Year. Though I did not decide on taking a break, I must say I really enjoyed the break I got.
Now things are back to normal and I am back to my cooking spree. I decided to open the post for the brand new year with a special. Something sweet may be! How about a classic French dessert! If you are my regular follower, you must know by now that I am not a sweet person. I don’t like sweets. And I can totally ditch dessert during a party ! 😛 😀 Yes I mean it.
But there are few things desserts that I can eat and I enjoy it. Panna cotta is one of them. When I could not decide whether to settle for vanilla panna cotta or chocolate panna cotta, I decided to settle for both the flavors in same cup. I made a simple panna cotta with vanilla and chocolate layers. I also kept the layers simple. If you like you can make fancy layers of vanilla and chocolate.

Not sure what I did wrong! I followed the recipe exactly and used 2T gelatin, and my panna cotta turned out like rubber. Not good at all! Help!

Oh sorry it didn’t work out great. I am guessing gelatin was the issue here! Did you use gelatin sheets or gelatin powder?

Panna Cotta is one of my favorite desserts. Just chocolate would have been more than a welcome addition for me. But being dual flavored, I am absolutely falling for it. An amazing recipe to start off the New Year 🙂

Not a sweet person???!!!! very few people in the world.. 😛 These look so classy and simple. I never got the funda behind the gelatin to milk ratio! I have some gelatin about to expire next month.. I better put them to use in making this.. Also does this recipe yield servings as shown? I need just two servings…
